Gary Reeve of Reeve the Baker has been declared winner of the Speciality Savoury category in the World Bread Awards.
Beating off competition from hundreds of loaves from around the United Kingdom, Gary received his award in this London this week (17 Oct).
Reeves was established in 1952 by Harold Reeve and produces a range of delicious breads, cakes and pastries from their bakery in Wilton, Wiltshire.
Stephen Hallam, Master Baker, Managing Director of Dickinson & Morris and Chair of the Judges said: “The field was more competitive than ever.” There were 86 judges in all including Charles Campion, Food Critic, Dr John Foster of BBC’s Victorian Bakers and Andrew Whitley, Founder, The Real Bread Campaign.
