You can’t go far in the West Country without finding delicious artisan fudge. From the traditional recipe to the experimental, you’ll be spoilt for choice so to help you find the most fab fudges out there, here are All Things Artisan’s top four.
Tracy McGoad and David Goad’s love and enthusiasm for everything sweet has guided this family-run business to become the award-winning success story it is today. It all began with a shop in Padstow in the 1960s, which is still there today, and expanded into a kitchen in Bodmin as demand for Buttermilk’s fudge grew over the years. Today, Buttermilk stays true to its heritage and their award-winning treats are still lovingly handmade in-house by craft confectioners using traditional methods, with ingredients blended in copper pans over open flames. Buy from the shop in Padstow or buy online.
